Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Since it is the holiday's, today and tomorrow I will have plenty to share! I am trying a bunch of new recipes, like this one! These are chewy and delicious. I took the advice of some of the comment's from others who have tried this recipe, and since I wanted a soft cookie I chose not to push them down with a fork but instead left them in their ball form and did not add the additional sugar. Cooked for 10 min but found the bottoms where a little over done so brought it down to 9 min and they came out with a nice light brown bottom. I added 1 1/2 C. of craisens for an added perk. I think Santa will be happy with these cookies! too bad my pillsbury premade (all you have to do is bake) sugar cookies didn't do as well... Unfortuanatly they ended up with black bottoms, even following the directions! I will have to find a good sugar cookie recipe for next year. This is definatly a recipe you can try many different things with, and be sure to check out the comment section (at the recipes web page) for ideas.
Since I am doing my dinner with my hubby and kids tomorrow I will be sharing the recipes some time tomorrow night.. boy that will be a long blog! but all in the name of fun, right?
